Satellite event: Ideas Café: neighbourhood development - climate adaption - outreach participation

As the municipal committee for climate, environment, energy, and participation we will be present (4pm to 8pm) in the neighborhood called Schörihub, a neighborhood with an above-average percentage of economical vulnerable households. The aim of this outreach participation is to learn from citizens living and working in the neighborhood which measures of the Gmunden 2030 Climate Strategy are important for a good living now and in the future. At the same time we aim to spark ideas and interest in people's minds that it is also their own responsibility to take action. 

We use an aerial view rug displaying the neighborhood so that citizens can easier localize and indicate the heat spots, dangerous passages along streets, etc. 

In addition we prepare a set of cards in easy language and with pictograms that will be used to spark discussions around various measures concerning decarbonization and climate adaptation. 

We will have the Idea-for-Gmunden-form at hand that people can use to put in their ideas for their neighborhood. 

The kids' program will be painting a picture how they wish their neighborhood should look like when they have grown up. 

The local restaurant provides for coffee. 

The provided ideas will be evaluated in the climate committee meeting in June for further processing into concrete projects that can be realized within the next 2 years.
